The Wildsmith Skin Radical Botany Facial at Fortnum & Mason

This article is from Amy Eason, Associate Editor at BeautyBible.com. You can read the original post here.

We had a feeling, when we heard the whispers of Wildsmith creating a facial treatment, that it might be something quite special – considering just how brilliant their products are (Team Beauty Bible is as one, on that), and how much our testers adore them, bestowing many Beauty Bible Awards on the brand.

So, you can imagine the delight of our Associate Editor Amy Eason, as she was whisked from Wildsmith’s new and very gorgeous counter in Fortnum and Mason’s Beauty Department to a secret room on the shop floor, almost invisible to customers (you don’t feel for a moment like you’re in a busy department store).

Katie, Amy’s therapist, was welcoming and informative and could answer any questions on the range as well as advising what your particular complexion might be needing that day.

What followed, Amy can only describe as 60 minutes of pure bliss. Katie used myofascial release on the face and the scalp, which as well as being d-e-e-p-l-y relaxing, created jaw-dropping lifting results; Amy obviously holds a lot of tension in her face, as most of us do. This, combined with acupressure and lymphatic drainage, made a huge difference to fine lines, puffiness and inflammation. The favourite part was some craniosacral holding of the head and neck with a little guided breathwork, encouraging deep relaxation throughout the mind and body - which in turn echoed in the skin’s appearance.

Katie then applied a mask and moved along to massage Amy’s arms and feet, the combination of all these perfectly harmonised aspects of the treatment made for a beautifully balanced mind, body and spirit outcome and really brought home the power that relaxation can have on our faces - Amy left feeling and looking like she’s had a two week holiday and she’s already booking in for her next session.

The treatment room is located on 2nd Floor Fortnum & Mason, 181 Piccadilly London W1A 1ER.
