Imagined and created to nurture and transform skin health and wellbeing, THE BOTHY, is a space designed to return guests to a simpler time - A SLOWER TIME - where modern concerns melt away, making room for deeper connections to ourselves, to each other and to our natural surroundings.
THE HOME OF WILDSMITH
Constantly seeking to innovate and very much a living place, during the renovation of the Manor House to a Hotel it was decided that within the estate a dedicated wellbeing space would be built, the guiding principle for which was to create a place of restoration, protection, and shelter.
In imagining a space that embodied Heckfield Place’s innate ability to connect its guests with nature and embrace nature’s pace, the search for a likeminded skincare and wellbeing brand began.
Where every element was carefully selected with thought and purpose the many minds behind The Bothy were determined to source a British brand that offered high-performance skincare and wellbeing treatments, without compromising on responsibility and efficacy.
Unable to identify an existing brand, the seed of an idea was planted to create something new.
Wildsmith was the result and The Bothy our home, with our integrated approach to wellbeing and high-performance, clinically-proven skincare incorporated into all experiences and treatments.
WILDSMITH TREATMENTS
Designed to support recovery, repair and balance, Wildsmith Treatments are inspired by the universal principle of circadian rhythm, and delivered by highly trained practitioners who will guide and help deliver profound results.
With a concise selection of therapies and experiences - each incorporating Wildsmith Skin’s clinically proven, high-performance formulations created to support and transform skin health - The Bothy treatment menu includes massages, facials and meditation as well as time spent with the Master Practitioners who specialise in naturopathy, osteopathy, reiki, bodywork and more.
WILDSMITH MOVEMENT
The Bothy's concept of integrated wellbeing will extend to the outdoors too, with guests offered physical journeys exploring the grounds including Woodland Movement, Forest Bathing and Cold Wild Water Immersion Therapy.

Situated in the grounds of the Heckfield Estate, The Bothy is fully connected to its environment with a final design that has been meticulously crafted with ancient and natural materials to ground the space within its natural surroundings, and features:
Six treatment rooms.
The Waters: a chlorine-free space of relaxation and healing that uses ionisation and natural minerals ions of copper, silver, zinc, aluminium and gold.
The Oak Terrace: home to outdoor hydrotherapy, healing thermal experiences including sauna, steam room, temperature-and-mood-shifting.
Experiential Shower and a bucket shower with ice cold water.
Three movement spaces: two fitness rooms and a Movement Studio.
The Sun Room: an intimate dining area fuelled by magic of Heckfield’s Culinary Director Skye Gyngell, with a small plant-based menu.
