Collaborating with one of the last remaining English potteries, we introduce our hand-crafted English Ceramic Hand Wash and Lotion featuring a fragrance inspired by the woods, meadows, and gardens of the Heckfield Estate lovingly planted in the nineteenth century by our guiding light, radical botanist, William Walker Wildsmith.
Our ceramic bottles are meticulously hand-crafted in Stoke-on-Trent, England, using skills passed down through generations.
The process begins with an expert model maker who sculpts the prototype from clay. This model forms the basis for a two-part plaster mould, which is filled with liquid clay slip.
Once the clay hardens, the bottle is carefully removed and smoothed by hand. After the initial firing, the bottles undergo two additional firings to ensure durability.
Each ceramic body is then hand-dipped in a soft, natural-colored glaze, offering protection for both the inner and outer surfaces. The result is a product that is as functional as it is beautiful—a true piece of art.
Our English Ceramic Wash and Lotion are crafted with both aesthetics and sustainability in mind.
The pump dispensers are re-useable and the vessels can be refilled from our 1 litre aluminium refills, meaning you can refill again and again with our iconic Hand Wash and Lotion formulations.
We only produce in small batches ensuring that our supply meets demand and avoids any waste.
We have taken care to ensure even the outer packaging is as sustainable as possible, made from recyclable card with natural inks and using an innovative design to safely encase the bottles and display as a beautiful gift.
Our principle of ‘Made by Many’ aligns with our commitment to sustainability - collaborating with British manufacturers to preserve traditional practices and creating vessels that are easily reusable, refillable, and cherished.
